ABOUT GABRIELL DEBEAR PAYE:

Gabriell is a teacher, storyteller and mom from New York City, who grew up surrounded by artists, diverse cultures, and human rights activists. A nature lover, she went on to become a high school Biology, Chemistry, Horticulture, and Environmental Science lead teacher. She first taught as a Peace Corps volunteer in Liberia, West Africa and then for decades in the Boston Public Schools. She published labs and an ethnobotany book.

Gabriell is now a full time screenwriter where she blends her love of storytelling with a passion for science, nature, and social justice. She studied screenwriting at Emerson College and ScreenwritingU. Her scripts have been optioned 5 times and she has won or placed in over 20 screenwriting contests. She enjoys gardening, her cats, chess, and doing Taekwondo with her husband. She just completed her first novel, “Monkeydog.”
